Peikko has delivered Gravity Foundation Technology for the Hevosselkä Wind Park, located in Hamina, Southern Finland. The project consists of four wind turbines manufactured by Hyundai Heavy Industries, 2.0 MW each.

The deliveries of Peikko’s Gravity Foundation solution comprise of steel components for the foundation. Peikko is also responsible for the foundation design and structural calculations.

The output of the park is 8 MW and its annual energy production is approximately 20 GWh. The hub height of the turbines is 100 meters and the diameter of the rotors is 93 meters. Electricity production commences when the wind speed exceeds 3.5 meters per second. The wind park completion year is 2012 and its construction implemented by Empower Oy. The wind farm is owned by Suomen Voima Oy, while Puhuri Oy carries out technical supervision of the power plant.
