A new depository for the East Bohemian Museum in Pardubice was built for the purpose of freeing up space at the castle in Pardubice.

The two-storey depository building is used to store collections, as well as to receive finds and heritage. The building was designed in a passive house standard and is energy efficient, which is achieved by facade with ventilated gap and combination of burnt and unburnt bricks with clay plaster.

The load bearing structure of the depositary consists of a reinforced concrete skeleton with prestressed hollow core panels placed on DELTABEAM® Composite Beams. The solution with DELTABEAM® beams forms a small thickness slab without visible girders, which creates space for easy installation of HVAC systems. Another significant advantage of using a reinforced concrete composite structure with DELTABEAM® beams is the speed of construction.
