How does the Peikko solution work?

Anchor bolts or fastening plates are cast into the concrete base in the correct position. The machinery is then mounted on the bolts or plates, leveled, aligned, and fixed in place. When anchor bolts are used, we recommend that nuts be tightened with sufficient torque to ensure that they cannot become loose over time. Finally, the space between the machine base and concrete foundation is grouted with non-shrink grout. When fastening plates are used, the fixing will be done by welding. The structural designer can easily and safely choose the right fastening plate for the combined loads by using Peikko Designer®, Peikko’s design software.
