Since 1965
Peikko was founded in Finland, Northern Europe, back in 1965 by Mr. Jalo Paananen and manufacturing was started in a vacant barn, see photo above. The first product at that time was a diagonal tie used in sandwich wall elements. This product is still part of Peikko product mix. At present the company is owned and managed by the second generation of the family with dedication to the founder's entrepreneurial spirit.
5 DECADES OF PEIKKO
In the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's Peikko focused mainly on serving the Finnish market. The first steps of internationalization were taken in 1990's when sales offices were established to Germany (1997), Norway (1999) and Sweden (2001). Today Peikko has sales and technical support offices in 30 countries and manufacturing operations in 9 countries. The group employs over 800 professionals.
